Over the past few decades there have been a number of individuals/companies, promoting investment schemes in the coin operated amusement machine industry, promising attractive returns for little or no work.

Promoters usually promise to site and manage machines and send the investor regular returns. In almost all cases the promoters of these schemes do not live up to their promises or projections and invariably GO BUST, leaving the investors to pick up the pieces, and in most cases sustain considerable LOSSES.

• CHECKLIST SHOULD INCLUDE:

• # Has depreciation been brought to account when calculating investment returns?

• # Ask for References from 3 - 6 investors that can be independently verified.

• # Keep copies of all advertising material particularly related to claimed investment returns;

• # Request written guarantees in respect to minimum returns on investment.

• # The managing company must provide the location of all machines at any times.
